2 Years after previous events

The trade center of the common district of King's Landing was, at day, a bustling center of shouting and pushing. Pickpockets would flutter between the crowds, street bastards would wallow about their hunger to a city that didn't care. It was almost impossible to hear one's thoughts over the shouts and arguments that would evolve from nothing. The last time he had been at the capitol of the Seven Kingdoms, the citizens did not crave simple bread as they did now. He heard it had been much worse before the Tyrells had swiveled their way into court via the King's virgin bed. Mykel had dared go any closer to the more luxurious part of the city, in case someone realized that the Baratheon wanderer graced their protective walls.

His sleeping arrangements were a few hours ride from the slums, into the wilderness and into the relatively safe beyond. It had become much harder to walk across Westeros' land in the last few years, those inside the city did not realize just how many innocents had been plundered by soldiers of various affiliations. Mykel thought of the Red Wedding, the murder of Robb Stark and the end of the northern rebellion. It was the moment many things had changed for him, the moment where he was separated from his apprentice and also his lover. A year had passed since then and now he was alone once more, slivering in and out of warring factions.

Granting himself a sigh as he sat in the whore house, not for the women but for the bar. It meant happier men and much more protected women, an easier drinking atmosphere for himself. Three women had offered their services within half an hour but none of them caught his attention. After experiencing what he had experienced, these women could offer little that enticed him. His plan revolved around drinking until the afternoon hours, then he would meet with a few contacts on possible routes north.

"She was fantastic" a young man's voice of familiarity perked his ears attention, Mykel turned his head to look at him. The lad had short brown hair, a hint of stubble that showed his juvenile age rather than maturity and a wiry frame. He was no fighter, his muscles loose and untested. Regardless, his smile was one of a genuine nature, he had spent only his third night in a women's embrace.

"Ah my Nicholas, to be a man you have to make her want to pay you next time!" smirked Mykel, he pulled a chair for his son to sit upon. It had been only a few months since he had even known that his now divorced wife had been pregnant prior to his banishment as a Baratheon general. All his titles and lands had been revoked and suddenly he was no longer a viable option for continued marriage for a woman with various political ties. He cared not for her any further, the hours on the road had let him move on from the bitterness.

"She was a great whore, i'll try to..."

"She IS a great woman" reminded Mykel, unfortunately his son had been brought up with a noble's mind. Some of Mykel's morals and traditions had failed to properly rub off on his kin, Mykel had possibly too careful to shield the horrors of the world to him. When the last apprentice to the way of the wanderer had come to him, he had offered little sugarcoating. Possibly he believed she was more adept to that life than Nicholas could be. Regardless, he had a duty and he wished to adhere to it the best he could.

"Sure, sure..." waved Nicholas rudely while taking a swig of his ale, he eyeballed the waitress who replied the gesture in hopes of a good tip.

Her Silver Hair Empty Re: Her Silver Hair

Post  Penelope Jones Wed Jan 21, 2015 6:56 am

Amelie paced impatiently outside of the whore house as she waited on one of her newer friends. Rosa had joined Amelie's little band of women a little over a month ago after she had rescued her from a particularly violent customer. And now, she was hoping to return to gather up her things from the whore house, something Amelie would usually have forbidden but it seemed Rosa couldnt settle without certain tokens from her previous life.

Being this close to the nicer parts of Kings Landing was making Amelie all the more anxious as she paced. She had given Rosa sufficient time to get her things, yet she was still waiting. She feared she may find herself caught soon enough.

A year ago, Amelie had been that girl. Living in a whore house all of her life, serving the needs of the highest bidder. But no more. Once she had gotten seperated from Mykel, she refused to go back to her life before. Instead she found herself wandering alone until one night she happened upon a party on the beach where there were many whores and many drunken soldiers. She found Emma on the outskirts of the party laying in the sandy grass, a low moan coming from her was the only indication there was someone near by to Amelie. She went to investigate and found a common sight from a party such as this, Emma's lip was bleeding from where the soldier had hit her, one hand lay across her stomach as she lay on her side, the other one clutching between her legs where no doubt some other horror took place.

She offered a way out to Emma who was smart enough to take it and since then Amelie and her band of rescued women had grown. She now had near on 5 women she could call her allies. They travelled together, ate together and hunted together. Through the past year they had learnt to fight, training up in weapons they could easily maintain such as a bow and arrow. They even took work where they could under the guise name of Athena's Arrows. Athena was a goddess Amelie could admire, a virgin huntress dedicated to her sisterhood. This was who Amelie could be and it seemed fitting to work under the goddess's name. Besides, no one felt threatened by a whore did they? They were always more than eager to invite one of the Arrows back to their bed, away from prying eyes and it would always be their downfall and the Arrows always collected coin.

But back to the here and now, she blasted the hot weather. She wore loose fitting cotton pants that came just short of her shin and a matching top that showed an enticing slice of flesh, resting just above her belly button. Her long silver hair was tied in a loose braid that hung over shoulder and was hidden by a hood attached to the long sleeves she wore to keep herself anonymous. And even dressed like this, she felt the sun beat at her like she was under a spot light. She craved to be back under the shelter of the woods. Her bow was slung over her shoulder, it was thin and lithe just like her and often went unnoticed, as did her quiver. Having it so close at least helped temper her fears.

Cursing Rosa once more, Amelie left the blazing sun outside and entered the dark bar that smelled of nothing by sex and beer. A familiar smell Amelie realized with a wrenching feeling in her gut. There were loud men drinking all over the bar, some together with whores on their laps, others by themselves watching with perverted eyes. Her eyes scanned the bar for Rosa's familiar face but she couldn't see her anyway. She made her way across the room, stick closer to the shadows and away from the patrons as much as possible as she aimed to reach the stairs. She had to get her out before her Master spotted her, she didn't know what would happen if she was found. He would most likely kill her for sport. Amelie felt her stomach flip at the thought and her heart pounded as she made her way closer to the staircase. Second on the right was Rosa's room she had said and Amelie aimed to find out what was taking so long. She would fight her way out with her if she had to, she always brought enough arrows.

Her Silver Hair Empty Re: Her Silver Hair

Post  JJ York Wed Jan 21, 2015 7:44 am

A few silent moments passed with only idle chatter to pass the hour by, the sunlight beamed through the cracks in the foundations of the brothel. Mykel guessed that the time had just struck past noon and now the daylight was at its strongest. It made him want to rise up from his seat and start walking, it took a concieted effort for him to remain seated. Nicholas however was happy in his current abode, surrounded by men of mediocre status and away from the harsh realities of Westeros' civil war.

As many times as Mykel had seen it, it still amazed him just how much alcohol lead to fist fights in even the most noble of entertainment establishments. Time after time a bouncer would interject a growing tension and throw some of the more rowdy patrons onto the muddy earth outside. Nothing could be more boring in Mykel's opinion, how pride had become the downfall of the trodden masses was a trivial thought on the long roads.

While Nicholas spoke insistently on his plan to remain in the capitol for another week, Mykel drifted into his own thoughts while nodding periodically. The sound of muffled shouting and screaming from the upper floor caught his attention as he was beginning on gathering his items to head to the markets. It certainly wasn't the most rare occurance to hear in these parts, with growing intensity that filtered into the last pleasures a man had left. Soldiers barely had respect for their kings let alone the wenches that satisfied their urges.

What started as muffled screams turned into loud thuds and slams, Mykel rose from his seat and slowly creeped towards the staircase, a figure in a cloak stood nervously at the bottom.

“Wha... Father... Leave it!” urged Nicholas, his voice almost drenched out by the loud laughter of the men at the bar. Mykel didn't respond, by the time he opened his mouth a women dressed in typical whore clothing tumbled down the stairs in a ferocious manner. Her head rattled the floor with a loud thud, the heavy footsteps of the establishment's owner followed with a tyrade of profanity in his wake.

The man was large, not muscular but certainly battle worthy. Before he had a chance to continue his handy work, the thin cloaked figure lunged forward with a punch that connected hard. It sent the owner back onto his backside, his eyes wide with shock and anger. After a moment his nose ran red with blood, cascading down his mouth at an unstoppable rate.

Within seconds, the massive bouncer from the entrance jumped into action. He pushed the cloaked figure into the wall with relative ease, Mykel responded by forcibly dragging the whore across the floor and out of risk of being trampled by the gargantuan guard. Then, as quickly as his aging legs could manage, he wrapped his arms around the mammoth of a man to throw him onto the ground.

“THE GUARD IS DOWN!” Shouted a multitude of patrons, not even five seconds passed until the entire bar was in a state of chaos. Chairs flew to the walls and beer splattered across the floor. Nicholas immediately ran for the exit and kept clear of the ensuing madness. It was only then that he noticed... the silver hair.

The figure had silver hair, it was most certainly a woman. She panted attempting to regain her breath, as Mykel stepped forward to see her face, he was punched by the bouncer who rose from the ground. Now he was both big and angry, a terrible mix of attributes.

Her Silver Hair Empty Re: Her Silver Hair

Post  Penelope Jones Wed Jan 21, 2015 9:50 am

Amelie cursed herself silently as she waited with bated breath in the moments before she watched Rosa tumble down the stairs at the hands of her ex Master. He was a hulk of a man but in that moment, Amelie felt nothing but an urge to protect her own. She didnt care for her safety, only that of Rosa's and in a moment of madness, she had punched the man right in the face. Her moment of surprise was gone as soon as it arrived as she felt a body like iron push her aside like a rag doll. Her face smashed against the hard wood of the wall and instantly she felt it sting.

Wiping her hand on the back of her hand, she was surprised to see it come away with blood. It had been some time since someone had surprised her enough to draw blood in combat.

The owner was starting to struggle to his feet she was glad to see he was having more trouble than he cared to admit as the blood streamed down his face. Turning to face the bouncer, Amelie was pleased to see the bar erupting into chaos. A girl could get lost in a crowd like this. In her current position she could watch both men if she was careful enough. And she always had the wooden bannister to jump if she needed to.

“Do you know what I do to men that make me bleed?” she asked the bouncer in a coy voice, letting her hood fall fully, revealing her silver mane. She reached into her boot and pulled out the first weapon she had ever been given, her little dagger she liked to call it. She could see the amusement pass across the bouncers face as it inevitably did every time she fought a man. She could almost see the words in his mind, Is she serious? She wants to fight me? This small fleck of a whore? She almost laughed at the surprise he would receive.

“Now whats a pretty whore like you doing with something so sharp?” he almost laughed as he made a move towards her. She was aware of the bar owner starting to rise from his spot, she could see his face turning more red by the second as he watched his bar get torn apart. She was beginning to run out of time.

“Oh, I'm not so sure. Maybe I just like shiney objects?” she jested before throwing the knife like she had practised a million times before, aiming for the one place she knew would hurt more than the others. And she hit the target like usual. The bouncer let out a scream of pain as the knife tore through his leg, dangerously close to his supposed manhood.

As she watched him writhe in pain, she couldnt help but smirk. In a flash, she reached behind her to grab her bow and an arrow from her quiver and with the practised aim of a professional, she drew her arrow and aimed it straight at the Master. “And now good Sir, how shall we carry this on?” she asked as she carefully manouvered her way away from the bouncer's reach – her dagger hadnt the desired disabling affect she had hoped but she knew he would be down for a moment longer and that would be all she needed.

Her Silver Hair Empty Re: Her Silver Hair

Post  JJ York Wed Jan 21, 2015 7:58 pm

Mykel landed on the flat of his back, the impact winded him as if he had taken a second punch to the gut on his descent to the floor. He shook his head, checked his nose for blood and took a moment to check over the whore he had dragged out of the fracas. Her face was bruised and cut, a small trickle of fresh blood seeping out of her cracked lips. Once Mykel was confident she would be as safe as she could be in the current madness, he rose upward and shook his head once again. Everything was blurry but after a moment, he could at least make out his environment.

Do you know what I do to men that make me bleed?”

That was a voice he knew, it was deeper than he had heard or maybe it was his sweet dreams making his dreams a bit foggier. It was full of confidence and aggression, with just a hint of malicious intent. Her words garnered the attention of hulking bouncer who immediately made his way towards the cloaked figure, the ends of her silver hair shining in the sunlight like a freshly minted coin.

Shavings from a broken chair rattled next to him, Mykel kicked off the wooden legs and prepared himself to enter back into the fray. While his chivalry had caught him in the middle of this unpleasant business, his curiosity is what kept him involved. It wouldn't have been the first time his ears had heard what they wanted to hear.

Once his attention had reached back to the fight closest to him, a splatter of blood dripped upon the floor. The bouncer screamed in agony, checking his leg and hopping on the spot. Mykel would never be given a better opportunity to get a free shot on the mountain of a man and he intended to repay him for the punch earlier. As the bouncer hopped in pain, Mykel kicked out the remaining leg and a massive thud erupted on the wooden floor as his opponent slapped into the ground.

It was then that he was able to look upon her, the cloaked figure. Her silver hair rested upon her chest with grace, her lips soft and pursed. Her eyes were focused and determined while her frame had filled out slightly since they had been seperated at one of the most horrific moments he had ever witnessed.

But despite all of this, he was absolutely sure that his mind wasn't playing tricks on him. It WAS her...

“Amelie!?” remarked Mykel, as he had a moment to smile to himself upon looking at her beauty once again, a sudden surge of pain rattled his teeth. Mykel could curse his fortune as he recovered from a hefty slug from a drunk patron.

Her Silver Hair Empty Re: Her Silver Hair

Post  Penelope Jones Thu Jan 22, 2015 9:37 am

Amelie eyed the bar owner thoughtfully, he was standing up now and more and more people were crowding the stairs behind him. “How. Dare. You!” he gruffed as he took a menacing step towards Amelie. She took a mirroring step backwards, her eyes never leaving his as she gave a quick click of her tongue. He didnt realise the fire he was playing with. “I want her dead, you hear me?” he roared to the service people gathering behind him. She could see both men and women, obviously his workers standing still. They were unsure of what to do it seemed, risk their lives for their master? She highly doubted it.

“It seems...” she began before the sound of her name interrupted her thoughts. She knew that voice anywhere, it was like cold water was poured over her head. She felt all of her nerve endings come alive as if she had been electrified. Her aim never left the bar owner, but her eyes wandered over to Mykel.

'Mykel..... Mykel, its Mykel,' was all she could think as her eyes scanned his face. The punch came from the side and he was surprised by it, 'good' she thought to herself with a smirk almost rising to her lips. He deserved much worse and she knew full well she would deliver on it. Her gaze lingered a moment longer before returning to a cold demenour. She had more pressing things at hand to deal with.

“Rosa!” Amelie yelled over her shoulder loud enough for her companion to gather her wits. She no longer cowered in the corner, but came to stand closer to Amelie. “Rosa, tell this good Sir that you are no longer his property and that your life is your own from now on,” she ordered gently as her gaze went back to the owner. Her arm never wavered as it held the bow in place, ready to aim.

“You dirty filthy whore, I'll have you fucked til you break in half for this,” he spat at Amelie in insult as he went to make a move towards her once more. He grabbed her by the hair and dragged her closer to him where he placed his massive meaty hand around her neck as he lifted her with ease off the floor and up against the wall. Her hands clawed at his in panic for a moment as her air was slowly being tapered off. “Your just like every whore that comes here at first, you just need to be shown who's boss,” he sneered as his hand wandered across her exposed flesh.

She could see beyond his shoulder that Mykel was still in a struggle with a patron and Rosa looked too stunned to do anything. In that moment, regret flooded her. Rosa was too green to have made this journey but she had foolishly taken pity on her. She was not ready for this combat situation. But she would be next time, Amelie vowed.

She stopped trying to claw at his grasp and instead used both her hands to slap him hard on each side of his head, her hands in fists for maximum injury. The effect was momentary as his grasp loosened enough that he dropped Amelie, coughing and spluttering as she hastily grabbed her bow and arrow from where she had dropped them.

The dazing effect didnt last long, but hopefully it would be long enough.

She heard him give out a massive roar as he picked her up once more, this time by her hair. It hurt like hell but still she wasnt worried. Today he would die and not she. He pushed her against the wall once more, she felt her head crack off the wall behind her and stars dazzled her vision for moment. His hands were like vice grip on her shoulders, his fingers leaving bruises in their wake.

“Any last words?” she asked him, her eyes dancing with humor. She saw a moment of confusion pass his face, after all she didnt seem in the position to threaten him so. But someone else was. Blood splattered her face an instant later as the tip of an arrow protruded from his throat. With his lungs filling with blood he began coughing, more blood splattered her face as he frantically tried holding his throat as if he could stop the blood escaping.

With one hard shove, Amelie knocked the owner to the floor where he coughed and spluttered until he eventually choked on his own blood. The fighting around the bar had ended abruptly as everyone turned to face the carnage of the bar owner on the floor. His workers that he had ordered to attack Amelie still hadnt moved from their spot on the stairs, the only thing that changed was their expression. Some held hope, some held satisfaction, some held fear. None of it mattered to Amelie now.

Stepping over the dead mans body, she wiped the blood from her face as she spotted Emma across the room. “About bloody time,” she remarked as Emma stowed her bow back across her shoulder with a grim nod to her.

With one glance to Mykel, Amelie wasnt sure what she felt, or what she would say. “We need to go,” was all she could say as she grabbed Rosa by the arm and followed Emma out the door. They would need to leave soon before the knights came to see what all the fuss was. She didnt fancy trying her hand at that fight. She didnt look back to see if Mykel would follow them as they wound through the streets, but she hoped he would as they began to pick up the pace, aware of all the looks they were getting. Especially Amelie with the silver hair covered in blood splatters.

Her Silver Hair Empty Re: Her Silver Hair

Post  JJ York Thu Jan 22, 2015 10:44 am

The weight of a wooden table could hold both his and his attacker's weight, it collapsed in a heap with the drunken man sprawled all over him. At first Mykel tried to roll him off but the thug insisted, his face so close that the smell of cheap ale was overwhelming. After blocking two jabs while on his back, Mykel grabbed hold of the drunkard's arm and snapped it in a quick manauvre. Like a logging axe to a small tree, Mykel's palm caused a massive crack in his opponents elbow.

He managed to get to his feet to see Amelie struggling with the owner of the establishment, his busted nose flowing with blood giving him a crimson beard. Just as he stepped forward, wide eyed and in fear of the large man snapping his former companion's beautiful neck, he dropped to the ground with an arrow sticking into his throat from the back. As quickly as the barfight began, it ended as if a lightning bolt had rattled all the patrons to their position. A cascade of red life essence spilled all over Amelies clothes and hair until finally her opponent flopped onto his back while choking on his own breath.

Mykel's eyes didn't move, as much as his instinct told him to trace the line of the arrow back to it's target, he felt as if he were seeing a ghost in the flesh. It had been close to a year since the Red Wedding has split the pair up, he was on the run from Walder Frey's scouts for a number of weeks while trying to escape the pillaged remains of the north. Mykel had joked to himself at lonely campfires that he was cursed, every king he pledged his sword to ended up dead almost a day afterwards. First it was King Renly Baratheon where he saved Amelie's life multiple times and then King Robb Stark of the North where he thought he had lost her forever.

We need to go,”

Her eyes for a small moment matched his and he was finally assured that it was the woman he had secretly searched for. A flash of a memory echoed in his head, her eyes filled with contentment while they shared their bed with one another for the first time. The Amelie that looked into him now was far different, the change had been for her better and had been gradual. Regardless, the sunlight still shimmered off her hair like a mirrors sheen.

She bolted for the door with intent and speed, the battered whore and another cloaked figure following her like a group of shadows. Mykel shaked his head, checked his gear and looked around for his son.

“NICHOLAS! We're leaving!” shouted Mykel as he exited the brothel into the busy road, he spotted two of the city guard trotting slowly in their direction. Nicholas bumped into him, panting and gasping for breath. Without speaking another word, Mykel flipped up his hood and walked a brisk pace through the crowd, looking for any sight of his former companion.

It took thirty minutes for him to reach the city gate, only a small trace of activity on the roads. King's Landing was now a dangerous place for him to ply his trade, the small list of safe haven's left in all of Westeros was decreasing by the week. He took a moment to breath and take in stock of the current situation. Deducing Amelie's plans wasn't all that hard, everything she knew about camping and hunting was taught by himself. Just as Mykel had set up camp on the outskirts of the city, he guessed she would also, not too far as to harbor the whore's she seemed to be protecting.

“Father. What are we doing?!” asked Nicholas, he paced worringly behind him while keeping his face hidden from the stationary guards.

“We're looking for Am... The woman with the silver hair” replied Mykel as he took a knee, took note of the sun's position and drew a mental map in his mind as to possible locations she may have taken camp. It took a great deal of concentration, his son's words frustrated him beyond question while under thist state of mind. Amelie had learned quickly when to curb her words when he concocted their next plan of action, Nicholas had not seemed to take the notion as quickly.

“But why? She's insane! She killed that man!” said Nicholas in an almost hysterical state, he dug his fingers into his curly brown hair as his eyes watered under the pressure.

“Be quiet, unless you want us to get arrested” spat Mykel, his frown hidden under his own hands. He closed his eyes and took a moment to gather his thoughts. When satisfied with a plan of action, Mykel would search as many applicable spots he could before the night fell.

((Eight Hours Later))

Mykel knew he should have stopped an hour ago, the last of the sunlight drifted out of reach and there was no safe way rest for the night. He didn't intend on resting until he found what he was looking for, regardless of his son's aching feet and whining. There were only a few more areas he would pick himself to camp to check and the fear of never finding Amelie started to creep into his mind with each failed attempt.

Only the faint moonlight amongst the stars gave him any sort of idea where the next set of trees were coming, a few howls from neighbouring wolves gave him some cause for concern. While the aggressive wildlife inhabited many miles away from the relative safety of King's Landing, a pack of wolves on an unsuspecting Wanderer was not something he wanted to test himself with.

In the distance however was a faint orange glow and slight mutterings of laughter, Mykel tapped his lips with his fingers to make sure Nicholas shut his mouth for the impending minutes. His son grumbled but did as he was told, Mykel was unsure just how long that would last.

He reached further and further until a picture began to come into view. He could see a few women resting by the campfire, one of them the beaten whore Amelie had defended earlier in the day. A smile crept over his lips in success, he had at least a lead on her location. In a force of habit, Mykel took stock of the camp before moving forward more.

Three small tents were covered by grass and soil to blend into the woodland, a few horses were tied to a neighboring tree. He could tell the animals were well trained, they stood proudly, well fed and astoninglishly quiet. Three women were resting but none of them had the shimmering silver hair of his target.

“Is that them...” whispered Nicholas, before Mykel could gesture for him to quiet down once again, the sound of a bow being drawn alerted his presence. He knew the sound of twine stretching under the weight of a prepared arrow, he had heard the noise countless times in his life. Immediatly Mykel dropped his own bow and wrapped his hands around the back of his head in a gesture of surrender.

“Good move” spoke the cloaked figure, her hair was golden and long. She emerged from the shadows with her bow still drawn, Mykel hoped his son had the sense to follow his surrender. It wasn't demasculating to admit when he was beaten, it was realistic and hopeful.

“I mean you no harm, i've come looking for a woman named Amelie. Is she here?”

Her Silver Hair Empty Re: Her Silver Hair

Post  Penelope Jones Fri Jan 23, 2015 10:39 am

Amelie didnt stop her brisk pace until she reached the safety of her camp on the very outskirts of the city. Deep in the woods, no one would disturb them and they surely wouldnt see the light from the camp unless they we're very close to them. They had been at this camp for a few days now and Amelie was enjoying the area but she knew they would have to move in the morning once more, especially with the mess they caused. She looked over her shoulder several times to see if Mykel was following her and cursed herself everytime for doing it. She hoped he was following her, a spark of love for him igniting in her but she didnt dare let herself feel it too deeply. He had had hurt her gravely and she wasnt one to forgive easily. Part of her hoped he would come, another part hoped he wouldnt and she could move on with her life.

Arriving close to the camp, they took their walk at a slower pace as they began to recound all the days events. From Rosa getting caught in her room retrieving a piece of jewellry her mother had left her (which she clutched proudly in her palm), to Amelie smacking the owner and of course to Emma arriving to the rescue. Amelie briefly held Emma's hand in a silent thank you for the rescue. She was her second in command and Amelie trusted her like no other. It was like they were sisters and she loved her dearly.

As they greeted the other girls, Nina and Josephine at the camp, she excused herself to have some alone time as Emma relayed the events to them. It was clear by the shocked looks on their faces, they hadnt expected their leader to come back covered in quite so much blood. It was close to supper time and Amelie felt her belly rumble in protest at the smell wafting from the camp fire of wild hare. But she couldnt face the food just yet, what if Mykel came? She was torturing herself going back and forth and so instead while the girls chatted she made her way towards her tent to grab her spare robe. Before she could leave, Emma pulled her by the arm.

“Sister?” Emma queried as her hand grabbed Amelies, stopping her from moving forward.
“Its ok Emma, I am not harmed. I'm going to go to the stream to clean this filthy blood from me before we eat,” she began with a smile as her hand rested on Emma's. “Truly, I am not shaken from the experience. I may be shaken from my encounter with an old friend however...” she trailed over as she looked around them into the woods, searching for Mykels face.

“His name is Mykel, he may follow us here and if he does please do not shoot him,” she laughed at the last part as she took her leave to the stream. Once she was out of sight of the rest of the ladies, she felt her body shudder with shock. The days events had been adventurous. She had seen an old love and she had witnessed another take his last breath. It wasnt something she could ever take with ease, even if he did deserve his death. Peeling off her clothes, she set about washing them in the riverside. Once they were sufficiently clean, she hung them off a nearby branch before heading into the water herself. The sun was beginning to go down shining a beautiful glow on the water as the last of the suns rays helped heat the water. She lay in the water, washing herself clean from the violence of the day as her silver mane twirled in the water behind her.

Once the sun had truly set and the night took on a chill, Amelie knew it was time to return to camp. She put on her sheer robe, it was the lightest of materials but it was beautifully made. It was something they had all worn at one time or another to seduce a foe. It had seen many battles and had thankfully always seen them through. It was more of a reminder of success than a source of warmth for Amelie now.

Making her way through the trees with her wet clothes tucked in her hand, she stopped short of the camp. Everything was as she had left it except now Mykel and another were by the fire on their knees with their hands behind their heads. Fresh blood seeped from his companions lip. Amelie paused for a moment, unsure of her next step. Laying her clothes near her tent floor, she took purposeful strides towards the fire.

“You showed up,” was all she said as she interrupted her ladies talking about what they should do, her eyes firmly placed on Mykel. “I didnt think you would...” she added, unable to keep the hurt from her voice as her eyes misted over with tears. Turning away from his gaze, she instead looked to Emma. “You can release them Emma... for now,” she ordered as Emma dropped her aim and allowed Mykel and his friend to stand.

“You better have an explanation for this Mykel, and it best be a magnificient one,” she threatened with a hint of anger in her voice as she took a seat on a log near the fire.

Her Silver Hair Empty Re: Her Silver Hair

Mykel soon found himself on his knees before a group of women, the blonde ranger's arms held tightly upon her bow. Nicholas had finally understood that in their current situation, it was better for him to curb his words. The women muttered in a slight state of fear of his arrival except for the cloaked figure that had captured him. She hadn't answered his questions, only narrowing her eyes whenever their gazes met one another.

“I meant what I said, I won't do you any harm. You've already relieved me of my weapons” explained Mykel, it was a carefully rehearsed lie. He had two daggers hidden in his leather strappings and an arrowhead slid into the back of his boot. While the ranger had strong enough arms to keep her bow drawn for a long period of time, Mykel wondered just how well trained she actually was.

“She'll be here soon. Shut up” replied the ranger calmly. It was rare that a common woman to speak to any man in this fashion, Westeros was a land dominated by male kings and mad rulers. However she spoke the words with no lack of conviction, oddly it soothed Mykel's anxiety that an arrow would imbed itself into his cranium.

You showed up,”

Her words pricked at his ears, he jolted his head upwards to look upon a shadowy figure emerging into the light of the campfire. As much as he tried to hide it, he couldn't help but beam a massive smile as Amelie came into full view. Her beauty hadn't faded in the months he had been seperated from her. In fact her newfound confidence and independence filled him with an immense amount of pride. Silver hair rested over her robe, the fine materials rested upon her now tested and strong body.

The way she looked at him was not of the same volition. She looked down at his fallen stature and stayed wary of him, as if she were keeping distance to a caged animal. Her eyes were drenched in anger and pain, he'd never seen Amelie look at him this way. They had shared an amazing year with one another, he taught her how to survive in the harshest environments. Besides all that, they had shared everything with one another. Food, thoughts, dreams and their hearts.

He tried to stand upwards but was soon warned of his impending actions, the tip of an arrow a mere metre away from his face.

You better have an explanation for this Mykel, and it best be a magnificient one,”

“You'll have to forgive me” replied Mykel with a confused expression “I don't think I have anything to apologize for. Unless you are mistaking me for Walder Frey, in which case, I didn't realise I looked that old”

You'll have to forgive me” replied Mykel with a confused expression “I don't think I have anything to apologize for. Unless you are mistaking me for Walder Frey, in which case, I didn't realise I looked that old”

Amelie could feel an anger building at the words he was saying but she was also aware of the eyes of her companions. She was a figure for them to look up to. The first woman they had met that showed them they didnt have to serve men, they could rule their own lives – all they had to do was take it. So right here with Mykel on the floor, she couldnt have the conversation she wanted to have with him. She wanted to be completely angry with him but she also wanted him to take her in his arms and kiss her. She was suddenly aware of how exposed her body was in the robe, how sheer the gown was and how firm her nipples were becoming being in such a close proximity to her.

She needed to be alone with him, to find the answers she needed without worrying how it would seem to her ladies.

Come,” she nodded towards the stream from which she came from. “We will talk about this, apology or not you owe me an explanation Mykel of why you left me in such a way,” she couldnt keep the anger from the last part. “Emma, watch his companion but you need not keep him a prisoner and I thought I said there was no harm to come to my visitor?” she asked with little humor.

Well Sister, all you said was that I couldnt shoot him,” she laughed as she lowered her bow and stowed it safely on her person. “I am here if you need me,” she added more seriously as she relaxed her composure.

And I thank you all for it,” Amelie replied graciously before she inclined her head to each of them. “Now Mykel, lets go have our talk,” Amelie didnt wait for his reply and instead took up her pace and headed back towards the stream – thinking last minute to take a lantern with her to light their path.

“Now Mykel, Let's go have our talk,”

The cloaked figure's name was Emma it seemed, her bow loosened and her aim dropped to the floor. Mykel noticed how she remained in a ready position to re-draw her arrow if need be, he hoped for Nicholas' sake that his son wasn't stupid enough to test her resolve. It suddenly then all clicked into place for him, now that he had a moment of clarity to monitor the situation and read it properly. All these women must have been in the same predicament that Amelie found herself in the night he had met her. Former whores who had been liberated and some of them trained to defend themselves in the harsh landscape they were now in.

While refraining from speaking any further words in the prying ears of Amelie's company, and his own of course, Mykel walked slowly towards her. It was only then that he noticed exactly what she was wearing, it was more revealling than he had initially given her credit for. She obviously felt safe if nothing else, or possibly the allure of her beauty was enough to distract would be invaders to their camp. If that were the case, Amelie's skills had evolved beyond wordplay and uses of a steel sword.

He walked through the brushes, his eyes tracing over every curve in her body. In the past, he had explored every soft inch of her skin. Like the roads of Storms End, Mykel was confident he could map every part of her body if he needed to. Although he trudged behind her, she did not look back at him until they arrived at their destination. Mykel knew the game, it was clear to all that he wasn't about to run away from her. It was only away from the warmth of the campfire had the cold air finally rested upon his shoulders, he wondered just how cold his former companion would be in her lavish robes.

After a long moment of silence, Mykel could hear small waves wafting to a brief shoreline. The moonlight shimmered against the emerging lake, an opening in the trees that bathed in the silver night light. It was then that Amelie turned to face him, it seemed as if whatever she intended to say caught itself in her throat, unable to speak. Mykel could understand, he struggled to find the words to speak himself. Her stance was only half towards him, as if she were setting up an invisible barrier towards any physical contact between them.

“Why...” whispered Mykel, almost to himself but Amelie frowned as if she could hear him “You look at me the way you did, back when I tested you. Do you remember? I pushed you and you looked at me like a monster. I promised i'd never hurt you again and I never did”

Mykel felt hurt himself, in his mind he didn't deserve to be shunned in this nature. He had given Amelie all the tools to defend herself when almost every free male they encountered just wanted to ravage her body against her will. It wasn't this that punched him emotionally in the gut, it was the way she looked at him. Her eyes were unloving, protected and wary.

“After what happened... with the Freys. I spent months trying to get out of their lands, I tried to find you but his forces smoked me West. I taught you so well that no one had even seen the woman with silver hair...” sighed Mykel, he knew his words were coming out jumbled and out of place but continued regardless “I was proud at first, you stayed out of sight. But that meant I couldn't find you, I searched for months, I never stopped searching... Not truly”

“Today is one of the most joyous days of my life, I feared you had died that night. I feared the reason I couldn't find you was because someone had gotten to you first. I see now that that fear was ill placed, you're stronger now than you've ever been” stated Mykel, giving himself a smile of relief.

“You're also more beautiful than you've ever been”

Mykel took a step forward to see her better, her defences were lowering now. He had stayed awake countless night wondering what he would say to her if he was lucky enough to find her once again. Some of his excess coin had found it's way in the place of a poetry book that he hoped would give him some inspiration. However now he looked into her wavering sapphire eyes, all memory of those pretty yet false words tumbled out of his mind.

“This world is grey and lifeless without you beside me Amelie. It's boring and predictable. I haven't been truly alive seen we were forced apart, you were always more than just a companion for the long road. You were my friend, my shimmering silver light... do you forget you were once my lover?” asked Mykel as he took another step forward and held his stance, a mere arm's length away from her silky skin.

“I hope you can't forget the time we spent together, it was the happiest of my life”

Amelie could feel the knot of tension coil in her stomach as she made her way towards their destination. She wasnt sure how she would feel once she heard his side of things. Part of her wanted to throw herself into his arms and profess her love and need for him, but the other half was truly hurt at everything that had happened. She had preached and lived a life of not needing a man for months now, she had her ladies to be a role model for and if she was seen just forgiving him and swooning for him, how would that appear? As she had this internal struggle with herself, their journey took them to the stream. She tried to speak to him but she didnt know what to say, how could she accurately say everything she needed to? Instead she put her lantern down on a dry spot and found a solid rock to support her as she waited for her explanation.

I promised i'd never hurt you again and I never did” - Amelie heard the words coming from Mykel and he truly believed in those words but he didnt realise he had hurt her. She found it hard to look in his eyes, to see the sadness there. She wasnt sure if she could explain to him how loving him was the biggest betrayal he had given her. Opening up her heart to him exposed her to one of the greatest hurts she had received.

I never stopped searching... Not truly” , she heard him continue. Amelie felt her eyes mist over with the feelings that over came her. He had never stopped hoping or searching? She believed him truly because she had never stopped looking for him around every corner of her travels. She felt she was always chasing his shadow.

You're also more beautiful than you've ever been” , Amelie felt her face flush with the compliment he bestowed on her. She averted her eyes and looked out on the water front. She felt butterflies making a home in her body where their wings fluttered in a rhytmic beat. A smile slowly spread across her lips as she crossed her legs, finding herself fidgeting under his gaze.

This world is grey and lifeless without you beside me Amelie. It's boring and predictable. I haven't been truly alive seen we were forced apart, you were always more than just a companion for the long road. You were my friend, my shimmering silver light... do you forget you were once my lover?”, she could hear his steps as he came closer to her, but her back was still to him. She wasnt sure she could keep herself feeling her anger that had fueled her for months. Not when he was this close, she could feel his words falling over her like liquid fire, igniting a want in her she hadnt felt in months.
uly believed you could have just left me,” she began as she took a slow step towards him. “But when it went on for months, I began to doubt your love for me, I began to doubt the moments we shared,” she had reached him now, she was standing infront of him, her blue eyes searching his as her hand found his. Her fingers tentatively grasping his.

She stood up slowly, feeling the cool breeze ruffle her robe spreading goosebumps over her body. She took a moment to look out on the water before turning to face the man she had loved dearly.

Mykel...” was all she managed as she looked in his loving eyes, his body was so close to hers and she could feel a want to touch him building in her. “You have hurt me more than you know Mykel. My heart broke into a thousand piece but I never stopped searching for you, I never tr
At the first touch, she felt his warmth and it spread thorugh her body, betraying her anger. It was impossible to feel complete anger with him while half of her wanted to get closer to him. To curl up in his embrace and to feel nothing but happiness at their reunion for this was a happy occasion.

She reached one hand around his neck, her hand sliding through his hair in a familiar gesture as she pressed her body to his. Her body felt on fire with a need for his as she wrapped her other free hand around his shoulder. “The hurt hasnt gone Mykel, but you have my forgiveness... I trust what you say,” was all she said as she buried her face in his shoulder. She needed to feel him near her, she needed to feel him alive and with her. For months she went through a grief, at first she thought they were simply lost from each other. And then she became angry at his promise never to hurt her again, the hurt almost tore her apart. And then she wondered if he had perhaps died and the pain of that fear almost consumed her so much so that she had to believe he was alive and it was easier to hate him for leaving than to love him and keep searching.

She would still feel hurt but she also couldnt deny the relief in finding him alive – as much as it pained her to show how vulnerable she was.

The hurt hasn't gone Mykel, but you have my forgiveness... I trust what you say”

Amelie embraced him, she rested her face in the crook of his neck and the smell of her hair took him back to the moment they had first met. Things were more turbulent then and there was no time to savor her aroma, to enjoy the taste of her lips. Only then had her words of pain echoed in his mind, how she looked at him initially made a remarkable amount of sense. She had been deeply hurt by their seperation, seeing him must have been a stark reminder to said pain.

Slowly Mykel wrapped his arms around her, holding her tightly while closing his eyes to take in the moment. Her reaction had fizzled out once they had seperated from the rest of their group. Possibly with the moment being just the two of them, it made their feelings slightly clearer. Without the complication of their followers or the spotted past that had forced them apart, it made sense for him to hold her close and treat her like his woman once again. She was tough now, strong and with conviction. However he knew that she always treasured the pure romance he could give to her, even amongst the blood and death littered across the land. It gave them both relief from the darkness surrounding them around each road and every turn.

While all the feelings flooded him like a tidal wave, his urge to protect her didn't. It had faded over time as she had grown in skill and confidence. When they had been split up at the disaster of the Red Wedding, she was a far cry from what she was now. He was proud of her, too proud to point out her improvement.

“I think I find it hard to understand...” continued Mykel, his fingers tracing back and forth across her hair “I apologise for what I did, i've experienced too much time away from you. I can only promise I won't let you out of my sight again”

He pulled back slightly, not away from her but only to look into her eyes despite her attempts to hide them. A slight nudge of his finger on her chin raised her gaze upward, he couldn't help but smile. The world around them seemed to give them this moment, stopping still with just the sound of murmurs in the woodland wildlife around them. It was a calming noise, it reminded him of the many nights camped out in the wilderness along side her. Sometimes she would sing, sometimes he would spend the night reading stories to her.

“With all the pain, all the things you've said” said Mykel, the knot in his stomach winding tighter “Do you still care for me the way I love you. I want to kiss you, to feel your skin upon mine”

Mykel began to kiss her cheek, then her neck as he traced his hands to the back of her robes. Carefully he rubbed her back and unbuttoned the back of her tight fitted white bustier, as her clothes lost support, her breasts began to come into view. Every moment was slow and with meaning, in a way to give her a chance to push him aside, and also to made each slight movement a powerful moment of passion. Passion that had been held back for far too long.

Her Silver Hair Empty Re: Her Silver Hair

Amelie could barely contain the feelings inside, waiting to escape as Mykel ran his hands through her hair. His words brought her so much comfort as she closed her eyes inhaling the smell that was unique to him. The smell, the touch and the sounds brought her back to happier times. Times they shared together under the moonlight getting to know one another, getting to trust each other and learning to love eachother. Those were the happiest times she had ever had and she missed them with a longing so over whelming that it scared her.

When Mykel pulled her face to gaze upon his, she didnt trust her voice as she felt her body tremble from his touch. She felt like her entire body was waiting on tenderhooks, ready to jump when he would touch her. She tried to keep her gaze from him, to stop showing how she truly felt but she could not. Instead she found herself drawn to his gaze as he smiled in return.

“Do you still care for me the way I love you? I want to kiss you, to feel your skin upon mine....”

Amelie felt the words more than heard them, she closed her eyes to savour the knowledge that he loved her still. Before she could even reply, she felt the familiar feeling of his scruffy cheek on hers as his soft lips pressed kisses on her cheek... her neck. She felt overwhelmed with an affection she had forgotten as she felt herself become wet with anticipation. Her body moved under his as she tried to quench a thirst she had denied for quite some time.

“Mykel...” she breathed as she pushed him away, pulling her body from his. She turned her back to him so she could gather her thoughts, gather her senses. Clutching her robe around her she tried to conceal her body as she fully weighed what course she wanted to take next. “In the time we've been apart, there has been no other like you, no one that has shared my bed or my heart. My feelings for you have never changed,” she said almost in a whisper as she turned to face him, she ran her free hand through her hair, pushing the silver locks over her shoulder as the other clung to the robe that was close to dropping. She backed away from him slowly, her feet making no sound on the soft floor until she connected with a tree.

“If you have been faithful to me as I have to you, come claim your prize my love,” she smiled coyly as she dropped her robe fully, exposing her milky white flesh in the moonlight. Her breasts stood pert on her body, their fullness evident and her arousal too. Her nipples were painfully hard from anticipation as was the ache between her legs. She knew only one way to quench that hunger that was building and she knew Mykel was the one to do it. She ran her fingers longingly over her body, trailing a path from her neck to her nipple, to her most sensitive spot and with each movement, she watched Mykels gaze as he feasted upon her body with his eyes.

Her Silver Hair Empty Re: Her Silver Hair

Post  JJ York Thu Jan 29, 2015 10:40 pm

Mykel couldn't even manage a smile as the silver haired beauty rested her back against a large, smooth tree. He was absolutely captivated by every and each word she spoke through her soft red lips. All the pain and hurt was still there, he could sense it, but Amelie's face was one that desired happiness. There wasn't much chivalry left in him, he had been raised a gentleman but in the face of such primal pleasure, he was in no mood to draw out the moment with more talking.

“Come claim your prize my love,”

Amelie's robe drifted off her skin like cascading water, Mykel at first shook his head to make sure this wasn't some cruel dream. It had happened before, seeing what he wanted to see only to have it ripped apart by bloodshed and peril. A slight sense of fear came over him, he couldn't stand another twist of fate to seep it's way into the moonlight. The very same moonlight that lit up his lover's body in a glow of raw sexuality.

Almost tip toeing, Mykel slowly stepped towards her while removing his own garments. Ordinarilly his leather strappings would take little over thirty minutes to remove but there was no delicacy with his actions. It took seconds to reach her, finally he removed his cloth undershirt and the pair stood a breath away from one another. Carefully, he reached out his hand to embrace the curve of her cheek. She as cold and almost shaking, but her body was not ready to give in to the shivering air.

He reached in for a kiss, Amelie pulled him closer until she was pinned against the tree. She was far too small and slight for the current angle to work, Mykel immediately gripped her toned legs and lifted her to his level. He could feel her thighs tightening around his waist but she had no time to beckon him further, for he was already suggesting the rhythm with his hips. There was a small moment before he entered her, his manhood throbbing with the need for her warmth. Staring into her eyes as he moved slowly, Amelie's face was one of near sexual vindication. Her eyes closed and opened with every thrust, her nipples rubbed against his chest with every movement.

As much as Mykel wanted to spend the whole night slowly making love to his woman, his desire took over him. He moved faster, upon realising how strong his companion's legs had become in his absence, he held nothing back. Soon he was entering her sex with force and power, so much so that he felt as if he was pushing through her own body. He checked momentarily to see if Amelie was in pain, her face only begged for more.

Mykel positioned one of his hands on her shoulder, the other gripping her backside forcefully. Her body leaned back slightly allowing him further passage to push further. As much as he was usually quiet during lovemaking, he couldn't help himself from speaking her name. Sweat poured from the pair of them, Amelie's chest glimmering from the sunlight as her breasts bounced over and over.

If this was some cruel dream then he'd curse it forever if it ended before their meeting was to finish. Both were warm from the motion, Amelie's still gripped him with as much need and desire she had done from the very beginning, despite them starting to waver with the climax of the moment.

“My love, i'm ready... I'm ready...”

Her Silver Hair Empty Re: Her Silver Hair

Post  Penelope Jones Fri Jan 30, 2015 9:40 am

Amelies pulse quickened at the hungry look in Mykels eyes as he took a slow walk towards her, shedding his clothing as he did so. Her eyes took in the glorious sight of his body, all his war wounds were still there that she remembered. Every inch of his body was memorized by her sight and touch. Her breathing was growing heavy as she squirmed against the tree, she could feel her thighs become slick with her need for him, the ache burned deeply.

It seemed to take achingly long for him to reach her but when he did, he did not disapoint. Pulling him in deeper for a taste of his lips, she pressed her breasts to his naked flesh, her nipples raking across him. As she bit his lower lip, she gasped as she felt his strong hands grab her and push her against the tree, her legs wrapped around his waist. She couldnt help let out a moan as she felt his need pushing against her warm, moist core. She started to rotate her hips as her legs grasped him closer to her. She buried one hand in his hair while the other grasped his shoulder. She began kissing him fiercly, her tongue licking his lips suggestively in the moments before he took her.

She moaned fiercly as he entered her slowly, inch by inch as he let her body readjust to his once more. No man had made love to her since Mykel and she had grown tight but the pain did not matter because as soon as he started thrusting, she was brought nothing but pleasure. She pulled herself closer to him as her hips met his, thrust for thrust. She bit his shoulder with the sheer exctasy of it all as she attempted to quiet herself.

She felt one of his hands grip her soft rump with a fierce want as the other grabbed her shoulder. She leaned back against the tree and away from him, the new position hightening how much of his length she could take. She gripped the tree behind her as her moans grew louder, his cock filling her so much she thought she would die from the pleasure.

“My love... I'm ready.. I'm ready,” she barely heard Mykel gasp as she felt her own need building. “Mykel.....” she moaned as she leaned back into him one more time, catching his lips in a kiss. She poured all she had into the kiss and when she felt the familiar rise of her climax coming, she buried her face in his shoulder as she let out his name in a moan, her hands gripping his body so hard she left nail marks. Once her wave had subsided she felt his cock grow harder in the moments before he erupted inside of her, filling her with his warm seed.

They stayed panting like that for a while, grasped in eachothers warm, naked embrace. Amelie didnt even mind the wood bark digging into her back, all she felt was Mykels familiar rhythm of breathing, his familiar touch and his wonderful smell. She closed her eyes as she lay her head on his shoulder, savouring each moment as if it was frozen in time.

Her Silver Hair Empty Re: Her Silver Hair

Post  JJ York Fri Jan 30, 2015 10:57 pm

All he could hear was the beating of her heart upon his chest, their panted breath in unison as they gripped each other as tightly as their ached muscles could. Tracing his hand across her back, he finally began to feel a tingling of pain across his own back due to Amelie's nails grasping his skin in ecstacy. Their frantic breathing slowed as he finally looked at her face once more with complete serenity, a satisfied smile crept across her lips before he reached in for another small kiss.

“By the gods grace, my dreams had not been as sweet as this moment. They had lied to me, my mind unable to imagine the level of your beauty” he spoke, noticing that his words sounded from the pages of a worn down book “I could stay with you here forever, let the world burn around us”

It was only then that he remembered that they had both left companions back at their camp, they must have been wondering why the 'negotiations' had taken so long. He wondered just how long would pass before the ranger would search for Amelie in fear she had been overpowered or found by another would be attacker. A slight expression of horror came over his face at the thought of Nicholas failing to curb his words any further, a liberated whore slicing his neck would end this wonderful moment in tears and regret.

He lowered Amelie to the ground carefully and picked up her robe for her to dress, he did so while never leaving her proximity in case something would tear them apart once again. Finally, he dressed himself in just his cloth shirt and his leather breeches. Upon further inspection, he had removed his Leather strappings too quickly and it would take the better part of a few hours to correctly position them back into place. Only he had the memory to carry out the task, Amelie had done so in the past but their seperation had meant he had done it himself.

“Are you cold...?” asked Mykel, taking her hands in his own “We should head back to the campfire, before your followers get worried”

“Also...” He continued, taking out a dagger from behind his boot “You should probably teach your ranger to search more thoroughly in the future”

In truth, he knew Amelie would have never worried about Mykel harboring an extra weapon. He had taught her to conceal a variety of blades in a variety of different places, so that one was never truly unarmed. Mykel began to walk back where he remembered the trail to take him but stopped once more for Amelie to lead, he wasn't going to take chances on leading them through a woodland he knew little about in the dark of night.

“Tell me, what was the incident at the brothel?” asked Mykel after a short amount of time passed.

Her Silver Hair Empty Re: Her Silver Hair

Post  Penelope Jones Wed Feb 11, 2015 8:15 am

Amelies body ached in a delicious way, one she hadnt felt in many months. Her legs ached and her back was sore from the wood, but she was relishing every moment of it. Even the tender moment in the after glow when Mykel handed her her robe to keep her warm. The feeling inside her spread its warmth and she no longer felt the chill of the night. She also couldnt keep the smile that was playing on her lips.

As they walked in relative silence to the camp, her mind kept wandering back to her past few months without Mykel and all the changes she had gone through. What would her friends think of her tryst with Mykel? Would they even accept him into their group? What would be their next step?

Her thoughts were abuzz with so many what if's, she almost missed Mykels question about the brothel. She treaded lightly on the path infront of Mykel, her thoughts whirring on where to start really. The camp wouldnt be too far ahead and it was not the sort of story she cared to bring up again. “In order to tell you that story my love, I need to tell you the start”.

“When we were seperated,” she began as turned to face him, bringing them both to a standstill with only the glow of the lantern around them. “I wandered alone for a while and eventually I came upon Emma – my ranger as you called her. She had been hired for the night by a rich noble man,” she almost spat the last words as she replayed the night in her mind once more. “I was looking for food and I was drawn to the noise, I figured I could steal some food and no one might notice. While crouching in a bush, I heard the moaning. Its the sort of moaning you instantly recognise from a whore house,” she said almost sadly as she played with the fray on her robe. She couldnt bear to look at Mykel, she didnt want him to see the pain cross her face as she remembered many times she made the same noise. “The moaning was from pain, from Emma. She had been dumped at the edge of the clearing, used and abused and disgarded like she was nothing more than a dog,” she paused as she felt her anger rise up again.

“She could barely walk. Her eye was swollen shut and she was bleeding.. from everywhere. I asked her if she wanted to be saved and I took her. I cared for her and I saved her,” she looked towards the camp briefly and felt herself become almost swamped with worry about how Emma would react to Mykel coming back with her.

“She told me how this was a regular occurance in her brothel and once she was trained enough... we went back for her things. I of course, I killed the noble man that had hurt her. It was a terrible tragedy but really he shouldnt have laughed at me or hurt her,” she paused briefly and almost laughed. Thinking back on the moment, it was a memorable one. He had laughed at the petite girl handling a bow. His laugh lasted only moments before Amelie took aim.

“And since that day, we have been together. We rescue girls, we save them from that life and if they wish to return to the brothel we accompany them to get their belongings but strictly no life to be taken. Not like with Emma,” she beckoned Mykel to begin walking with her again, but slower this time. “We couldnt risk being run out of town or found out for murdering. Nina and Josephine joined shortly after Emma and I began travelling around. Rosa is our newest addition and as you saw today, it did not go to plan,” she eyed the bruises on her arm as she rubbed it tenderly. She paused once more, her hand running along Mykels face, touching the bruises that would no doubt appear from his own brawling. She couldnt help herself, she reached up on her toes and kissed him tenderly, her body melting into his.
“Mykel, what me and my girls have been through you will never know... They have never had a man be anything but abusive to them. We have never had a man travel with us and no you are here and I love you dearly, you see my predicament do you not?” she held him tighter, afraid to let go of their moment together. She knew the camp was only around the corner and it would all end soon enough.

“Mykel, we cannot let them know we are more than friends, more than apprentice and master. They cannot know of our love just yet, you do understand dont you?” she pleaded with him, her hands placed above his heart. “They have been my friends, my sisters and my family for so long now. I cannot abandon the strength we have built up in the face of men that would have us put down. They will not see you as anything other than those men. I cannot let them think I am a weak submissive,” she pleaded with Mykel, her eyes brimming with tears at the thought of being stuck between the two sides of her family, for Mykel was truly family.

Her Silver Hair Empty Re: Her Silver Hair

Mykel listened closely to Amelie's story, everything had started to make much more sense with each word she spoke. She had spoken about helping women in a similar situation to her own, Mykel had convinced her that more than two people on the long road made the journey a much more dangerous experience. He wondered just how the merry band of former whores had managed to slip through the ever closing cracks in Thedas, as the military on both sides pillaged and raped the land as they saw fit.

He was proud once more to have been the one to arm her with the skills she needed to survive. Not only that but the confidence to help others as she had been aided. Those traits had been passed on to the needy, the beaten and the bloodied. When the mighty and powerful of the land ruled with an iron fist, it made sense for the civilians to learn how to defend themselves. Amelie had given these woman more than just a chance of survival, she had given them hope of a better life.

His heart sank as she explained their distrust of men. He understood the situation but he could not hide his expression of distaste for it. Standing in front of the woman he loved put a large amount of his life in clear perspective, denying that seemed like a waste of time. The way Emma had looked at him was not just as an invader of their space, she looked at him as a threat. How Amelie had melted into his embrace out of prying eyes but had been stone cold when in the company of her saved, she was playing a pivotal role in their rebirth.

“You would wish to act as if the moment we shared, all the moments we've shared were nothing?” asked Mykel with a tone of hurt in his voice, with a hint of defeat “I am a wanderer Amelie, I am no actor. I have not walked the path of a liar for whatever reason, I won't start now”

It was only after he spoke that he realised the strength of his words, especially as he stepped past her shaking his head. If Amelie were any other woman he had met, he would have kept walking without saying another word. However Amelie was no ordinary woman, she deserved more than a muffled emotional response. Mykel stopped in his tracks, turned around and looked at her for a long moment. At first he forced a smile to reassure her, all while finding the right words to speak.

“What you have done for these women is a testament to your kind heart, I would like to believe that was the same kindness I showed you the day we first met” explained Mykel, if keeping up a minor charade would keep them together for just a little longer, he would begrudgingly accept the role “I will do as you ask, I will bend my knee to you at the campfire”

It was strange that just a decade prior, bending his knee to a woman would have been unthinkable for a Baratheon general. With all the titles and power stripped from his name, dropping to a knee meant little to nothing in the eyes of nobles and kings. However, showing his allegiance to the savior of beaten whores would still be something of a shock, hopefully one that would sell the ruse to those involved.

Amelie felt her heart break at the hurt in Mykels voice. She knew this role would not be an easy one for him to take, but for now he must. For her sake at least. She appreciated the way in which he came around to the idea however and she resolved that she wouldnt keep it this way for very long.

“Thank you my love,” she whispered as she placed a loving kiss to his cheek, reaching up on her toes to do so. “It wont be for long,” she promised with a slightly forced smile. She began walking infront of him once more, she could see the camp ahead. Her body still ached from their love making, but she treasured it like a trophy of their union. They walked in silence for a moment, all she could hear was the rustling of their feet on the trail of leaves and twigs until they got into ear shot of the camp. Multiple voices could be heard, this was a good sign Amelie hoped.

As she brought herself into the warmth of their camp, her eyes wandered among their unlikely comraderie. Emma was keeping watch of the camp, her posture seemingly relaxed as she sat on a log but her eyes were scanning the area around them intently while Josephine talked to Mykels new apprentice it seemed. Rosa was tending to her wounds while sitting close to Nina who was busy preparing some rabbit that she had caught earlier.

“You're back,” Emma announced as she came to her feet. Her eyes shot towards Mykel that approached the camp after Amelie. “I was beginning to get worried,” she admitted as she strode towards the two. It was obvious she mistrusted Mykel and wanted to remove Amelie from his grasp as soon as she could.

“Mykel, make yourself comfortable at the camp while I consult with my sisters,” she asked him without glancing towards him. Instead, she strode towards her own tent. It was one they shared in pairs, one she shared with Emma. It was made out of light fabric, hung over some low hanging branches. The weather was so mild here in Kings Landing, they didnt fear rain. The tent was tall enough that they could stand comfortably in it. The sides were held up by loose branches they had gathered, giving it the effect of having a canopy at the front. They had the luxury of building it for a long stay, but she knew they wouldnt be here much longer.

“Sisters, if you will,” she asked as she strode towards the tent. She ducked under some loose fabric and made her way to the back of the tent, away from Mykel and his companion. The inside was nothing other than a pair of blankets and some satchels with their belongings. Amelie bent down to her belongings and began searching through her clothes to find something more appropriate to wear. She pulled out some loose fitting black knee length pants with a loose black cotton shirt that she tucked into its waist. She began to disrobe as they followed her in, they were no strangers to seeing eachothers bodies and so they didnt even make a fuss. She began to dress quickly, aware that on her back she would have evidence of tonights love making.

“Amelie, have you gone mad?” accussed Emma once they were out of Mykels ear shot. “You allow men into our camp?” she raged, her voice didnt raise but Amelie could see the accusation in her eyes.

“Emma, Sister, do you not trust my judgement?” she asked as she pulled her shirt over her head.

“You know I do Amelie, but this... This cannot be right...” she reasoned as she began pacing the floor.

“Please stop pacing Emma and let me explain to you,” Amelie offered as she gestured for them to sit on the blankets.

Amelie offered up her story to her Sisters for the first time ever. They had never truly heard where Amelie's story began all that time ago. She explained how Mykel rescued her, how he championed for her and gave her her first weapon. She was careful to leave out how they began to fall in love, she didnt want them to be more suspiscious than they already were of him. She told them all of the heroic things he did for her, defending her against such horrible people that threatened her with names such as whore. She even told them how they had been seperated. For this part however, she couldnt keep her voice steady as tears filled her eyes. She turned away from the women.

“I thought him dead you see, I thought he had abandoned me and I was terrified. I mourned his loss and I searched for him, I searched and searched until I came upon you Emma,” she turned to face Emma, clasping her hand in hers.

“I realised then that him leaving was a blessing of sorts. I finally realised that I could be strong and I could defend others like me...like you,” she paused, her eyes searching each other theirs. “So for this, I am asking your blessing in having Mykel join us. I do not know his companion, but I know Mykel and will not harm us. He can actually help us become stronger. He can hunt and he can teach us skills. If you do not agree however, I will understand and I will not force you to stay within a camp you're not comfortable in. I just ask that you consider it and we will have ground rules,” she left her speech at that as she paced around the tent. She couldnt bear to look at her Sisters questioning glances as they talked among themselves.

While Rosa, Nina and Josephine consulted with eachother, it was Emma that watched Amelie. She stood from her spot and approached her. “You know you saved me and I pledged myself to you. If you trust him then that's good enough for me but please do not expect me to welcome him with open arms,” she admitted honestly as she wrapped her arms around Amelie in a comforting hug. Amelie soon felt more arms join the hug. It seemed her story of heart break truly hit home for them.

“Together Sisters?” Amelie finally asked as they pulled apart. She held onto Emmas hand for a moment longer, knowing that she was truly the key to it all. Without her support, she didnt know how to others would have decided. “Let us inform our guests of their fate,” she offered as she strode back through the tent. Back to Mykel and his waiting companion.

Her Silver Hair Empty Re: Her Silver Hair

Mykel didn't listen, talk or think much during the small trip back to the camp. He used the cold wind to numb out a prideful response, convincing himself that his thoughts were best diluted in the current moment. A good days walk would clear his mind, his situation was not as clear as it had been when the pair had seperated themselves from the rest of their entourage. Mykel knew his future was not going to be as black and white as it had been before, with several variable factors now in the fold.

As they re-entered the camp, he could see almost all eyes rested upon him as he walked out from beyond Amelie. Emma's gaze was locked upon him like a hawk surveying its prey, the others were out of sheer curiosity if nothing else. Nicholas had found far more comfortable seating next to one of the women Amelie had liberated, his lack of build and confidence made him a much less intimidating male target.

“Mykel, make yourself comfortable at camp while I consult my sisters”

As Amelie's 'sisters' huddled in a large tent, he could see that Emma had made sure that she could see if they tried to escape. Mykel sat next to his son and took a brief moment, he knew he had to choose his words wisely around him. As Amelie knew her companions were not ready for the truth, so was Nicholas, he was not known for keeping his thoughts or secrets within himself. Such was the culture of nobles, where truth was a mere distraction from a game of social war. Those battles were ones he dared not involve himself with, sword and bow were a much easier tool.

“I'm surprised these women haven't gone back to their brothels yet, That Josephine is begging for it” smiled Nicholas, he enjoyed the way he had been embraced by one of the liberated whores.

Mykel immediately, and without hesitation, smacked the back of his son's head with authority. The young lad rubbed his head to sooth the pain and directed a look of disgust at his father, who shared the same expression.

“Don't you understand you imbecile!” stated Mykel quietly but strongly “We are in far more danger than you possibly understand!”. Mykel decided that falsely stacking the odds might give Nicholas some fear of those they were to travel with, with fear came some level of respect. In truth, only Amelie and Emma had the capability to do harm and with Mykel at his son's side, that wouldn't happen.

“What do you mean?” asked Nicholas, puzzled and still holding the back of his head like a scolded dog.

“The silver haired woman I met with, she is one of the most proficient assassins in southern Westeros. I will have to bend the knee or we will die tonight, of that I can promise you” stated Mykel, he disliked lying in this fashion but it wasn't completely far from the truth “It was better I sought her out or we may have been killed in our sleep”

As Amelie and her sisters emerged from the tent, Mykel immediately kneeled by the campfire but towards her. He didn't say a word, knowing that it was still better not to speak. The men that had beat and raped these women in the past would have lied with sweeter words than he could ever speak. As a final act of selling the lie, he took out the hidden dirk he had kept away from Emma's pat down earlier. He dropped it to the ground, he then noticed Nicholas remained standing, too far for Mykel to pull him down.
